Editorial independence
Independent. Not affiliated with Data Center Watch or 10a Labs. Texas Data Center Watch is an independent Texas publication. We are not a chapter of, partner of, or source for any other "watch" project.
What we promise
- We take no side on whether any project should be built. Our job is to show what's proposed, what's been decided, and what the records say about benefits and impacts.
- Payment never buys coverage or changes it. Developers, utilities, contractors and investors can buy plans for alerts, exports and data access. They can't buy placement, edits, removal, or advance review of anything we publish.
- Free pages and paid alerts use the same facts. Paid plans are faster and more detailed; they aren't a different version of the truth.
- Sources are labeled. Official records, company claims, news reports and third-party trackers are always distinguished.
- We disclose how we're funded: subscriptions from residents, community groups, professionals and businesses. If that ever changes, for example grants or sponsorships, we'll list the funders here.
- Corrections are public. Confirmed errors are fixed and noted on the page.
Use of AI
We use software, including AI tools, to find and organize public records. A fact is published only when it matches a source we link to, and published pages follow the rules on our methodology page.
