Effective date: October 3, 2026. Texas Data Center Watch is operated by Sugar Island, LLC ("we", "us").

Information we use

We use your email address, name and billing address, your chosen plan and counties, subscription and order identifiers, payment status, and delivery records to manage access, calculate sales tax, send alerts and digests, prevent duplicate delivery and handle support requests. Support messages may contain information you choose to provide. Public records are used to prepare project and county pages.

Analytics and advertising measurement

We use privacy-friendly, cookie-free web analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) to count page views.

If we advertise on Google, we use the Google tag (gtag.js) from Google Ads to measure whether our ads lead to subscriptions. When it's turned on, it loads on our pages and, after checkout, tells Google Ads that a subscription happened, with the plan price and the checkout reference so a purchase isn't counted twice. We don't send your name, email or payment details to Google, we strip query strings from the page address we report, and we turn off Google signals and ad personalization for this tag. Google may set cookies to connect an ad click with a purchase; see how Google uses information from sites that use its services. The tag doesn't load at all if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal. We don't use retargeting lists and we don't sell your information.

Service providers

• Stripe: payments, billing, sales tax calculation and the customer portal. Card and bank details entered in Stripe Checkout are handled by Stripe; this website does not store full card numbers.
• Cloudflare: website hosting, security and analytics.
• Email delivery (to be confirmed; planned: Beehiiv): weekly digest and alert emails. We'll name the provider here before it receives subscriber data.
• Our email host: receives and stores messages sent to support@txdatacenterwatch.com.
• Google Ads: advertising measurement, only when the Google tag described above is turned on.

We share only the information these providers need to do their jobs.

Retention and your requests

We keep information as long as needed for subscriptions, delivery, support, billing records and legal recordkeeping (for example, tax records). Contact support@txdatacenterwatch.com to request access, correction or deletion of your information. We may need to verify your identity, and we may keep records required for billing or other legal obligations. Canceling a subscription stops future renewals; it is separate from a deletion request.

We do not sell subscriber contact information. Every newsletter and marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.

Children

The service is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
