Subscription terms

Effective date: October 3, 2026. Texas Data Center Watch is an information service operated by Sugar Island, LLC ("we", "us"). These terms apply to the website and to paid plans.

What the service is

We publish source-linked summaries of public records and reporting about data centers and related infrastructure (power, substations, transmission, water) in Texas. Free pages are available to everyone. Paid plans add alerts, archives, search, exports and other features described on the pricing page.

Coverage and delivery

Alerts and digests summarize reviewed official records and other sources for the counties included in your plan. Tell us your counties at checkout, by replying to your welcome email, or by writing to support@txdatacenterwatch.com. Alerts start within one business day of purchase. Check current coverage before subscribing. Availability depends on county publication practices and access to readable records. Coverage can be suspended when records cannot be reviewed. A week may have no new findings; this does not establish that a county has no projects.

We distinguish recorded decisions from proposals, company claims, news reports and estimates, and we label each source. Assessments of approval prospects or start dates are offered only when supported by evidence, with uncertainty identified and the source linked. The service does not guarantee project approval, construction dates, completeness, or investment outcomes, and it is not legal, financial or engineering advice.

Prices, billing and renewals

Prices are listed on the pricing page before applicable tax. Texas sales tax is calculated at checkout where it applies. Monthly plans renew each month and annual plans renew each year, automatically, at the price you signed up for, until canceled. We'll email you before any price change takes effect for your plan. Payments are processed by Stripe; we don't receive or store your full card number.

Any discount (for example, nonprofit, library, newsroom or hardship pricing) will be disclosed before purchase.

Cancellation, refunds and support

Cancel any time through the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid billing period, and you keep access until then. Monthly plans aren't refunded; annual plans can get a prorated refund if requested within 14 days of the annual charge. Details are in our refund policy. For billing errors, unavailable coverage, missed delivery or refund requests, contact support@txdatacenterwatch.com. These terms do not limit rights that applicable law gives you.

Acceptable use

Paid plans are for the number of seats purchased. Don't resell, bulk-redistribute or scrape paid content or exports without a written license (see Enterprise / API). Free public pages may be quoted and linked with attribution.

Corrections

For corrections, include the page or report title and source link. We review the underlying record and correct confirmed errors, noting the change on the page.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is", and our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Texas, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be emailed to subscribers before they take effect.
